Welcome to Social Studies 8!
This page is designed to help you successfully navigate this course.
Social Studies in Grade 8 involves examining a variety of Historical and Geographical aspects. In this class it is our purpose to look at how modern society was formed. Many civilizations have existed in the past and examining how they functioned and the structures and systems they had in place, can help us to understand aspects of our world today.
Furthermore, this class will aim to develop thoughtful, responsible, active citizens who are capable of examining various perspectives and supporting informed opinions on ideas both historical and current.
